Hello! I’m Vanessa Okereke, a fashionable freelance artist and graphic designer on a journey to fully immerse myself in the creative realm. I have a Bachelor’s degree in Advertising & Public Relations, as well as several associate degrees and certificates in graphic design (print & digital media), fine & applied arts, communications, humanities and media studies, which I plan to put all to good use by building a multifaceted creative brand that will combine my interests in visual art, fashion, and nostalgic pop culture. Even with my current job in youth education, I always find ways to incorporate my artistic skills at work, and keep myself motivated with personal projects and artistic hobbies that bring me closer to reaching my goal of becoming a full-time creative professional. My innate thirst for developing and exploring innovative ideas to bring new things into existence has made it nearly impossible for me to sit still and pursue only ONE interest, so I’ve made it my mission to complete multiple kinds of art and design work. I simply can’t help but find the process of learning and the art of making extremely fun, especially when others get to enjoy the results of my hard work! I hope to keep evolving as a creator so that I can establish a fulfilling career in the industry doing what I love: making art that brings joy to everyone who experiences it.
