This design is a message AND a statement. It’s saying that it’s okay to cry and feel your feelings. It’s also saying “cry about it” in a cheeky way, as in “you got a problem? Go cry about it.” I thought it was a fun idea to play with double meanings. Overall it’s just a very cute and simple design that gets the point across quickly. I originally made it for a pin-back button but tweaked it a little to also work as a tshirt design. I specifically wanted it to work on a black tshirt because as an alt-girl I wear a lot of black and I just HAD to get this printed for myself right away! I also want other alt-girls to be able to wear this design in black or other dark colors they like. Making designs for alternative people is one of my dreams because I want to make clothes for people who are like me.

Technically this was my very first commission! A friend of mine wanted me to draw the Greek god Hephaestus, so I used him as inspiration! I basically turned my friend into a Greek god, which is pretty awesome. The mechanical wings are the most detailed part of this design and it definitely shows. I spent quite a bit of time on them to get the feathers just right. I wanted this design to look slightly futuristic as well with steampunk elements in his hammer. Speaking of the hammer, it’s got to be my favorite part of the entire design! It came out exactly the way I pictured it. It makes me think that Illustrator is only limited by the imagination, so if I can imagine more possibilities then I’m sure I can do even more incredible things with this tool!

I made this design as a Mothers Day gift for my older sister. We both seriously enjoy boba milk tea and so I thought this would be a cute and funny gift. The coolest part about it is that I got to make this tshirt using heat transfer vinyl! It was awesome working with the vinyl cutting software and machine along with the huge heat press! Despite the tedious process of peeling off excess vinyl from the transfer sheet, I’m honestly so grateful for the unique experience. I’ve made lots of tshirts using the screen printing method, which was complicated yet fun, but I really enjoyed the results of using heat transfer vinyl because I got to use glitter and metallic vinyl, which made the design a lot more interesting!

A design based on a beloved childhood video game! Sack Boy is the main character from the Little Big Planet video game series. I grew up playing the games with all my siblings so this design is very special to me since it brings back a lot of great memories whenever I see it. Sack Boy is such a cute character and I always wanted LBP merch so I decided to make my own! I used 4 reference pictures to get this right and re-create the default design of Sack Boy. I added playful text to the background to match the energy of Sack Boy and used the same colors throughout the design to make it all cohesive. Definitely one of my favorite designs! I’d like to make similar ones with different playable skins from the game and more colorful fonts.

Just a cute little design I made to express my love for alternative fashion. It also represents me as a Black alternative person. I wanted to use fun colors to show that being alternative doesn’t just mean wearing black all the time. Alternative fashion is fun and different! Alternative fashion is for people who aren’t afraid to be seen.
